Introductory course for new and experienced operators.

Who should attend?
Operators, control room supervisors, system administrators and managers who require an operational perspective of the system.

Course outline
This operator training core module focusses on practical application of GeminiSense’s core processes for alarm handling and incident management, with an emphasis on relevant knowledge and skills specified in the NOS for remote monitoring; hands-on exercises and interactive discussion.

The course is available as a half-day intensive or a one-day practitioner version. The one-day course is highly recommended for all operators. The additional time allows for more practical exercises and scenarios.

Delegates who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate, endorsed by Skills for Security.

This course extends the practical skills learned in the GeminiSense Operator Training (core module), with a focus on responding to and proactively managing CCTV incidents as well as undertaking related tasks such as CCTV guard tours. The course also refreshes key aspects of relevant regulations that impact the role of the CCTV operator.

The course is available as a half-day intensive session for those who are already involved in CCTV operations, or as a one-day module for newcomers.

Delegates who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate, endorsed by Skills for Security.

This non-technical course is an essential requirement for those who have a responsibility for managing GeminiSense system operations and the database.

Who should attend?
System administrators, control room supervisors and managers who have a responsibility for the operational administration of the system.

Attendance on the relevant operator modules is highly recommended as a pre-requisite to this course although an operator overview is included at the beginning.

Course outline
This non-technical course is essential for members of staff who will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the system and the GeminiSense database. Diligent operational administration is essential to best performance of the system and consistent service level conformance.

This is a two-day course and a certificate of completion will be provided to course delegates.

*This element is covered even if your initial database is being migrated from a legacy system – the knowledge is relevant to ongoing database administration.
